In today's tough business and public sector environments there is a burgeoning interest in cloud computing as organisations look to cut costs and gain flexible, convenient access to services and massive storage/data back-up options.
Security, privacy, and legal matters represent the main obstacles that are encountered when implementing cloud computing. By understanding the mechanics and practicalities of how cloud computing works, how moving to the cloud legally impacts on your organisation and how to mitigate the risks, as well as how to establish clear lines of accountability and responsibility you will be well-placed to take advantage of the massive benefits and savings that are to be gained.
Led by Dai Davis, a partner at Brooke North LLP and a Chartered Engineer, as well as an active member of the Information Systems Security Association, this highly practical one-day workshop looks at the following areas in some detail:
* How and when is cloud computing used in organisations?
* How and when should it be used?
* What is the relationship between cloud computing and Software as a Service?
* Risks of cloud computing, including termination issues
* Cloud computing contracts: contract formation; quality; liability; trust
* Avoiding the risks: Service Level Agreements
* Social networks used in a business context; business networks
* Collaborative networks
* Cloud computing policies
This workshop will be of value to chief information officers, chief technology officers, database/data center managers, network managers, compliance and policy managers, IT directors, heads of information compliance, and heads of shared services and strategy directors from both public and private sector organisations.
Due to the interactive nature of the workshop, attendance is strictly limited to 30 delegates. Cost to attend is £325 + VAT. To register, please click on the link below or give me a call on 0161 374 0372:
