This is primarily aimed at Scottish FISH folk, but if you are not in
Scotland you are welcome to attend.
Following on from the success of similar events in London Collections
Trust and Museums Galleries Scotland are holding a:
Europeana-Scotland Conference at the Engine Shed, Edinburgh on the 14th
December.
The Conference starts at 10:30am and finishes at around 3:30pm, and is
free to attend.
Outline of the day (subject to minor changes):
Morning - Europeana Context:
* Welcome - Jane Robinson, Museums Galleries Scotland
* Keynote - Nick Poole, Collections Trust
* Europeana - What it is, why it is important and technical developments
(from Europeana Foundation
Staff, including Jonathan Purday, Europeana's Senior Communications
Advisor);
* Introduction to Europeana Group projects (from various Europeana group
project partners in the UK).
Lunch (provided)
Afternoon - UK Opportunities:
* Europeana Local Project results (Mary Rowlatt, MDR Partners);
* LIDO - a new harvesting XML schema (Gordon McKenna, Collections
Trust);
* Culture Grid - Why, What and How (Phill Purdy, Collections Trust);
* Round table (The way ahead in Scotland).
