Dear colleagues,
The Collections Trust is pleased to invite you to the free OpenCulture Q&A event with Minister for Culture Ed Vaizey MP.
Following recent announcements about Arts Funding, and the launch last week of the DCMS Plan 2011-15, the Minister has agreed to present his vision for museums and to address the sector’s questions and concerns about the implications of the Spending Review in an onstage interview organised by the Collections Trust.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 15th December at the Institute of Contemporary Arts on the Mall in London, between 15.00 and 17.00. Registration is free and can be completed quickly and easily online at http://openculture.eventbrite.com.
Attendance at the event is completely free. Places are strictly limited, and only people who have reserved and have a valid ticket will be admitted. People reserving and not attending without prior notice will be charged an administration fee of £20. Ticket reservations are limited to one per person.
Questions can be submitted to the Minister not later than the 10th December by emailing Nick Poole at [log in to unmask], tweeting @collectiontrust with the event tag #oced10 or commenting on the event listing on Collections Link (http://tiny.cc/openculture). Questions will be put to the Minister in an onstage interview and we cannot guarantee that your question will be included in the interview.
The onstage event will be followed by a debate in the ICA bar.
This is a great opportunity for you to shape the debate about museums funding, so we will look forward to welcoming you at the event.
Yours sincerely,
Laura Whitton
on behalf of
Nick Poole
CEO
