Dear Colleagues
Further to my earlier emails, please note that registrations for the Cardiff review event close on Thursday 18 November 2010. We are really keen to ensure that there is good attendance at the Cardiff event (if we do not get enough attendees, we may have to cancel).
The draft of the revised standards being consulted on differs dramatically from the current set of NOS, suggesting a final total of seventeen standards for “all working within a library, archive or information management service within the public or private sector”. It is therefore more important than ever that the new standards are validated by the sector.
The event will take place on 23 November (10.00-3.30) Glamorgan Archives, Clos Parc Morgannwg, Leckwith, Cardiff. CF11 8AW. The morning session will cover Apprenticeship frameworks and the NOS discussion will begin at 12.45. Please go to this link to register: http://laisnoseventcardiff231110.eventbrite.com/
If you wish to contribute to the review but are unable to attend, please see our website where the draft NOS and a questionnaire are available to download. It is also possible to ‘Host your own’ NOS event http://lluk.org/4757.htm
Best wishes
Mark
