Thanks Mick..typo corrected.... J
Sounds then like Bristol City and West Sussex are out looking for RFID ..and
that's helpful to know
I think all this is *public* info which (if I correctly read the article I
linked to at the end of my post) should be in the public domain anyway. It's
just a question of bringing it together somewhere so it can be easily
shared. Sounds like the Government is very keen for this to be so. It seems
to me that making the information more visible is good for libraries and all
stakeholders.
So please *do* enter anything you know. Yes please do ' just enter the names
as I hear about them?'. I think the community would welcome that...and would
welcome anyone else (inc vendors ) that did the same.
The wiki is open so there is opportunity to self correct.

Good idea Ken (though I think it's "Stirling" not "Sterling"? ;-)
Sadly most public library RFID procurements probably won't make it there as
most seem to think it wiser, safer(?) and easier to use a framework
agreement. Which I find puzzling since all the RFID suppliers are in the
framework anyway so you're just paying a premium to ESPO for using their
out-dated and inaccurate procurement documents - but that's just my opinion
of course.
I know Bristol City are going through ESPO at the moment. West Sussex CC
just did, But there's nowhere to link these to as they are effectively
"hidden" from view. Should I just enter the names as I hear about them?

Library Technology procurements that are underway are listed on the Local
Government Library Technology website
http://lglibtech.wikispaces.com/Procurements and the Higher Education
Library Technology website http://helibtech.com/Procurements
They are mainly procurements based around a library management systems -but
the University of the Arts is looking for a 'state-of-the-art library and
information resource discovery solution'. It would be good too to have RFID,
ebook etc stuff there as well. Feel free to check it out -and fill in any
gaps! It's free and open to all...
