Hello
I know we have been here before but feel this really is the final straw. Some examples of whopping price increases from T & F:
1. Globalizations price increase 2011 £100 or 31%.
2. International journal of Human Rights price increase 2011 £136 or 27%.
3. Interventions price increase 2011 £101 or 41%.
4. Third World Quarterly price increase 2011 £300 or 31%.
We found the 2010 prices listed here (at least I think they are for 2010 it isn't exactly clear but they correspond with what we paid last year less VAT): http://www.taylorandfrancisgroup.com/ under each title
And the 2011 prices listed here: http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/librarians_pricinginfo_journals_titles~db=all
Of course T & F 'justify' these because the number of issues per journal has increased but my own opinion is that it is indefensible. Alas the information has come rather late in the day and after we have renewed many titles. I will be reviewing usage stats in the next week and intend to go back to departments to inform them about this publishers practices.
