Renew Training announces the launch of a new Project Management course

Renew Training today announced its plan to run a one-day course teaching
non-project management staff how to manage highly effective projects. The
course has been developed in conjunction with David Sommer who has fifteen
years experience managing projects within the publishing industry.

Practical Project Management is a hands-on training course which will give
delegates the chance to learn a simple but effective project management tool
that will teach them how to run projects of any size and level of complexity
from a single sheet of paper.

David Sommer said "Increasingly it is being left to operational staff
without formal project management training to run projects. Major events
such as system migrations, new website launches, vendor selection, new
pricing policies, department restructures and even office moves are being
handed to staff in marketing, production, IT and other departments without
any professional project management back up. This course will equip
delegates with essential tools that will ultimately save companies time and
money".

Tracy Gardner, Partner, Renew Training said "This course doesn't try to
compete with the large-scale, time-consuming Project Management programmes.
It aims to get people back to the office after just one day, confident in
their ability to manage the projects they are responsible for. This kind
of event really embodies what Renew Training is all about and we are
delighted to be working with David on this course." Simon Inger added, "as
someone who has been involved in managing projects for many years I believe
whole-heartedly in this approach and agree there is a real gap in the market
for this type of hands-on approach to project management within our
industry."

Courses will run in March and October 2011. More details will follow at a
later date.
