Subject: introductory workshop on evidence based library and info practice
Dear all
As a way of generating interest about the conference, we are hosting an introductory workshop in collaboration with the Library and Information Research Group (LIRG) on evidence based library and information practice. It is particularly aimed at those who have heard about evidence based library and information practice, but dont really know what it is about. It also offers a chance to learn some practical skills in critical appraisal. The workshop will be facilitated by Andrew Booth and myself and Maria Grant.
In line with LIRG's policy of encouraging practitioner research, we have made it a half day workshop and kept the price quite low. Please could you publicise around your networks - the text is attached. For those interested in other aspects of research - LIRG is currently running a series of writing workshops. Details of these are given on the LIRG website - at the same address as that on the attached.
Many thanks and best wishes
