I was the first response to Larry’s email on a day (Remembrance day) when I was deep in thought about friends sons and a best friends serving in conflict. I simply responded that I did not wish to read about Larry’s anal evacuation he had that morning and I do not feel swearing on a public forum is appropriate - Larry has a mastery of language that would not be any less persuasive or thought provoking should the expletives be omitted. I would remind some that the powerful experience Larry shared (thank you Larry) came after my distaste expressed regarding morning motions.
I have found some of the research alluded to and views generated from this ‘debate’ (and I use this term lightly) extremely interesting. Many of us, I am in no doubt, can relate to such experiences.
Apologies if sharing lavatorial exploits does not personally appeal. And apologies if such opinions cause “anger” ‘shock” and are seen as an “attack” but again (and this is not new to this list) comments and views are taken way beyond their intended meaning and patronize to suggest a lack of understanding and a need to “re-educate”. Such views can serve to silence people, which would surely demonstrate hypocrisy of the highest nature given that this is a public forum.
I could educate a few on humour? Got some great Tommy Coopers…….all clean too : )
