Dear list
I have created two models. The first model estimates a variable called
theta, which is input as data into the second model. In the second model,
the theta variable is used to estimate two other variables; however, I would
like theta to remain fixed in the second model (i.e., I do not want theta to
be re-estimated or influenced by the estimation of the other variables).
Would this be an instance in which the cut() function is used? If so, would
I apply cut() to theta or to the other variables in model 2 to prevent theta
from being modified? Note that in the second model I do not specify a prior
or likelihood for theta.
Thanks
Barth
