HI
On the topic of "ubuntu" we had a wonderful presentation on what it means by Prof Ntuli. It is really a complex concept, but also simple - it is not one value but encompasses all the values and virtues that are "good" in the human race. The "ntu" part literally means a great force, so it could be seen as the "god" within each of us, god meaning a force of good, rather than any religious connotation.
I think it might be useful to explore the meaning of ubuntu more as it is reflected in all our practices and studies.

Dear Lulu I think also in line with what Delysia said earlier the concept of "Ubuntu" should be interpreted broadly to embrace the notions of " social justice" and "fairness". Regards Leah.

Colleagues
what a wonderful wake up call to do intropspection of 'how to improve my practice'. to understand that my belief system and values has so much to add on my epistemology and antology. the importance of understanding clients' experiences is important into shaping and influencing their progress. how could I realize whether am I influencial in what I am doing, I thinking in terms of bringing the values of ubuntu in a classroom environment. How do you measure it?
Lulu
