Subject: [Fwd: A request for help in eliciting the views of social science researchers.]
Dear colleagues,
apologies for the impersonal mass mailing. For those of you who would
consider yourselves social researchers - and especially those with ESRC
funding - see below for a request for responses to a survey. As I
understand it, ESRC use this data to shape their priorities for
methodological innovation, so it's probably worthwhile taking part so
you can have your say about what we need more (or less) of.
It sounds like they are in need of more respondents, so by all means
forward to your colleagues and contacts.
Best wishes,
Michael
Dear Researcher,
I am writing to invite you to participate in a consultation exercise on
research methods training in the social sciences which the ESRC National
Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) has been commissioned to undertake by
the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
Participation involves completion of an on-line questionnaire which can
be accessed via this link
http://www.ncrm.ac.uk/survey/index.php?sid=93691 and takes approximately
15 minutes to complete.
As a researcher this is an opportunity for you to express YOUR views on
current training provision and new requirements for research training.
This consultation will inform the strategic thinking of ESRC with
regards to the future provision of training.
Further details about this research project can be found here.
