I offer my full backing and support to Larry. I feel angry and sad at those in this forum whom have attacked Larry for his neurodiverse communication style. Larry should not be attacked but encouraged and congratulated for being so brave and honest in telling his own personal 'suicide' lifestory. Good on you Larry for continuing to be your 'neurodiverse' SELF... Some people on this forum just don't get it do they.
DAN have been using profanity for many years to get our political basic human rights and civil liberities across and this has been very successful within the grassroots disabled peoples' movement, so I can't really understand why a few people here get so upset with a few swear words (which are not personal) being used as a political tool to FREEOURPEOPLE.
Also, there is a 'gender issue' here too. There is a higher suicide rates within the male gender across the world, so what does this say?
What about the very high sucicide rates within the neurodiverse and mental health communities too bwhich are unaaceptable and there are no support services at all which Adrian Whyatt, others and I tried to tackle with Sir Liam Donaldson (CMO) and DoH, but Sir Liam personally promised us he would tackle this serious matter, but as usual the DoH are not true to their word. This is the same with 'self-harm' services to.
Also what about para/attempted suicide ?
Anyway, I again repeat myself by fully supporting Larry and his personal bravery in telling us all his story. What the eck some people are on I don''t know. Wher is their EMPATHY?
God bless you Larry!!!
Some people 'just don't get it' do they!!! If they did then they would understand the grassroots movements and fully support disabled people and our DPO's and our allies. Some people need to go and re-educate themselves on 'becoming an ally' and understand the pragmatic understanding, not the blody therioes in book (or I have just used a swear word so naughty of me!!! ;-) )
