Hi Lin,
There is a wealth of information and presentations on the HSE website re
stress, which should be risk assessed under the management of health and
safety at work regs. http://www.hse.gov.uk/ - Not sure where you work
but try NHS employers website too for current information
http://www.nhsemployers.org/Pages/home.aspx
Hope this is a good starting place!
Best wishes,
Christine

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Stress Awareness
I have been approached by HR to give a Stress Awareness talk. As I am
fairly new to OH, I was hoping the list would be able to help me answer
the following questions which HR would like addressed in the talk.
1) Are risk assessments a legal requirement or best practice?
2) Do the Court look at whether you have implemented HSE guidelines
when hearing stress cases?
3) What are advantages of having a stress policy?
I have been also asked to put together a list of questions that the HR
department can ask employees to help them manage their long term
sickness more effectively.
Your responses will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Lin
