Subject: Introduction and query on searching for 'normal birth' research
Hello all,
Thought it was time to say hello to the Normal Birth and Midwifery Research lists - apologies for cross-posting. I work at the Cambridge University NHS Trust as a midwife and also conduct health policy research at the Social Science Research Unit in London. I've been reading these lists for a long time, appreciating the very thoughtful discussions that go on.
I have a query about searching for research on "normal birth" - not an easy task! - and was hoping I might get some advice here. Specifically I am trying to develop some search terms for normal birth in order to both conduct a systematic review and keep aware of new research as it comes available. Does anyone have search strategies that they have used previously, or know of people with particular expertise in this area that I could speak to?
I'd be happy to develop this strategy 'live' on this list for others to use, if that is helpful.
Many thanks, Ginny Brunton
