The Program of International Relations and Migration and Refugee Studies
of Webster University of Geneva organizes its 11th Fall Conference on:
VALUES AND INTERESTS IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN THE 21ST CENTURY: A
VIEW FROM "WEBSTER-WORLDWIDE"
"Values" and "interests" are the two principal driving forces of
political debate and action. They determine the organizing principles
and the success or failure of domestic political systems and of
international order. The role and interdependence of values and
interests have been among the major themes in teaching and research
during the last 15 years in the Migration and Refugee Studies Program at
Webster University Geneva.
The questions addressed at the November 26 Conference will include:
1. What are the key interests and what are the threats and risks with
respect to national and common interests today and in the years ahead? and
2. Which values are relevant in the present international context and
how will prevailing values affect forced migration in countries of
asylum and in countries of origin?
Details:
26 November 2010 - 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Webster Campus - LLC
15, route de Collex, Bellevue, Geneva
The Conference is open to the public.
