Andy Field's "Discovering Statistics using SPSS" is really good; clear
and straight-forward, and pretty thorough. If you click through the
PsyPAG "Recommended Reading" page
(http://www.psypag.co.uk/resources/recommended-reading#stats) to buy
it (or any other products, for that matter!), PsyPAG get 5% of the
retail value at no extra cost to you.
I'd like to add other recommended statistics books to that page, so if
you get any other responses direct to you, could you drop me a line
and forward them to me?
Many thanks,
Hester
