I am not sure that this is the case, by the sounds of things the moderator
is complaining about the tone, not the existance of the page. They want
wikipedia to cover everything, but they want to do it objectively and they
don't want companies using it as a way of advertising their wares.
so
Bloggs plumbers is a family firm set up in 1823 and is based in
crumblingthorpe
is probably ok but
Bloggs plumbers is the best plumbers in crumblingthorpe and have been
providing excellent customer service since 1823
probably isn't
I would have thought that if what you write sounds like an uninterested
observer you will get away with it, but if it sounds like a press release
or grant application you won't.
