Or..... the cynics amongst us would say it saves employees having time away from the workplace to see their own GP - I think there's a huge margin for bias opinions here

Hi
I don't know of any GP's actually sat in an OH Department but some of the
big financial institutions in London have private GPs for employees use.
When such organisations pay you a huge amount but own your soul in return
and expect you to work very long hours, the boundaries of what many of us
think of as occupational health can alter somewhat. The business
justification is purely financial. To give employees every means of being as
healthy and motivated as possible in order that they attend work, perform at
their best and contribute to the business's success. Private GPs as part of
a wide ranging health at work model maybe the extreme end of the spectrum
and highly debatable but business success through improved health is surely
a part of what we're all trying to achieve.

I know I should do it myself (but time is pressing today) - if anyone has a
baseline questionnaire for lung function testing could you share it with me?
Ours seems to have gone missing (or more likely is misfiled on the computer)
and I need it soon! This is the questionnaire for new employees exposed to
respiratory irritants, prior to their first exam.
Thanks in anticipation, Mary.
