Project
Refreshments will be provided.
This is the second of two workshop sessions provided by the London
Museums Hub, aimed at helping museums improve the way in which they
manage information. Looking beyond the collections, but retaining a
museum-specific focus, these sessions will draw on best practice and
case studies taken from the London Hub Information Management Project to
help participants begin the process of identifying and addressing
information management issues in their museums.
A key part of improving information management is to know what
information you hold. Information Audits enable you to identify what
information your organisation has, where it is and who is responsible
for it. This practical half-day session will:
* Review a number of different approaches that can be taken to audit
your information
* Introduce the analysis and presentation of results.
* Look forward to the future of information mapping as a means of
managing and accessing your museum's information resources
It is aimed at staff with responsibility for any aspect of information
management within their museums, particularly those with
responsibilities across their organisation.
The session will be presented by Alice Grant Consulting Ltd.
