Wish I'd seen this before I'd booked to up the e-book event up at Christie's Hospital in Manchester on the same day. It's like London buses.....

I'm not a publisher, but we publish and design local e-learning packages for our staff. One thing publishers might want to think of it not just producing their own versions to sell, but making it easier for those of us supplying institution specific packages easier access to your print material, be it an article or a chapter. Preferably in affordable chunks and easy to apply for. We want to incorporate reading lists and reading material to back the training up - better to include it within a package rather that link out of it (with links disappearing and subscription access changing). So perhaps you might want to just consider "chunking up" content models so if we know we've got to train 3,000 staff yearly or every three years and the training refers to a section of recommended text or journal article - we can add it safe in the knowledge that we're covered by copyright and you know what we're doing with your material.
