Hi all (again),
We need to introduce an authenticating proxy into our open access
reading rooms and would like to integrate this with Shibboleth.
We need to authenticate all of our Readers when the browser first opens.
Does anyone here have any experience of integrating Shibboleth with a
standard (not intercepting) proxy and are therefore capable of logging
the user against the requests, whether capable of filtering using
categories or not?
e.g. McAfee Web Gateway or Squid
(EZProxy seems to cater for the Use Case where our Readers are off
site.)
The following provides the outline - is the idea to protect the entire
proxy with as SP as though it were any other protected resource?

Kind Regards
Paul
