COST Action D42 "ENVIART" FINAL CONFERENCE

'IMPACT OF THE INDOOR ENVIRONMENT ON THE PRESERVATION OF OUR MOVABLE
HERITAGE'

Date:	8-9 November 2010
Venue:	Trinity College Dublin, Ireland

The Action aimed to explore the chemical interactions between cultural
artifacts and indoor environmental conditions, and to provide results
that would inform preventive conservation practice.

26 countries have been involved in the Action, undertaking field and
laboratory research into the chemical impact of the environment on
materials. The Conference will provide a platform for participating
scientists to present research completed during four years of activity,
and to share the results with a wider community concerned with the
protection of cultural heritage.

It is also intended that the conference provides an opportunity for new
connections to be made that will strengthen and promote continued
global research aimed at mitigating against the environmental risks that
threaten our heritage.

Conference details including the programme and registration are at:
http://www.tcd.ie/library/preservation/conference/

The conference will be preceded by field trip options of Georgian
Dublin, or Newgrange and the Boyne Valley, on 7 November 2010.

The Organising Committee at Trinity College Dublin is chaired by:
Susan Bioletti: [log in to unmask] and Robbie Goodhue: [log in to unmask]
