If you or the customer can lay hands on a copy of Denys Parsons' Directory of Tunes, that's almost guaranteed to identify it for you. If you don't know that book, it classifies pretty well every known tune (up to 1975) by whether each succeeding note goes up, down or stays the same. Surprisingly, there are very few duplicates.
