Dear all
we have a lady trying to organise the music for her funeral and is seeking the lyrics to a song she sang as a child, it's baffling us as we have checked all the hymn directories and also popular music and found nothing on the internet. Our last hope is that someone out there has come across it.
The first line is "Idle hands are never happy" sung to the famous tune of "what a friend we have in Jesus"
It's been tricky to get more information as she is seriously ill and is adamant it's the correct line etc. We have started to wonder if a teacher has written the lyrics specially for the class?
Grateful for any pearls of wisdom
Sarah

I'm reading "The idea of perfection" by Kate Grenville, it's beautifully written and really puts you inside the characters.
