Hi,
We have identified a problem with the released versions of FIRST and
FSLView
which might be the cause of your problems. However, it should only
affect the
viewing of vtk files generated from individual subject segmentations
and not
the vtk files from the vertex analysis of multiple subjects. You can
tell if this is
the problem or not by looking in the vtk files (e.g. using "more") and
see if they
are plain text or binary (full of clearly non-text characters). If
they are binary then
you will need to convert them to text using:
run_mesh_utils --doConvert_Binary_To_ASCII -m original_file.vtk -o
new_file.vtk
After this they should display fine in FSLView.
If they are plain text already then they should work with FSLView, and
it is
likely that there is some problem with your FSLView and your graphics
hardware. What type of machine and OS are you using?
All the best,
Mark
