A one-year research assistant position is available at the Medical
Imaging Laboratory at the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio
Marañón, Madrid (Spain).
The Medical Imaging Laboratory (http://image.hggm.es/) seeks a
research assistant to implement image processing methods (functional
and structural) and for management of databases. The candidate will
participate in projects investigating structural brain development and
brain function in healthy and mentally challenged adolescents.
The ideal candidate will have a background in psychology, biology,
medicine, or engineering with a strong interest in neuroscience (or a
related field), neuroanatomy, and brain function. The candidates are
expected to work within the general framework of the projects, but
also to actively contribute with their own ideas and proposals.
The position is ready to start now. The initial appointment is for one
year, but there is an opportunity to pursue a PhD degree. The
candidate will also be encouraged to apply for PhD grant programs
available in Spain, with the support of our research group. Salary
will be commensurate with experience, similar to pre-doctoral
stipends.
