Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the city of Barcelona will host the 13th International Symposium on Substance Abuse Treatment from the 23rd to the 25th March 2011. It will be hold in the historical building of the University of Barcelona in the core of the old city.
University of Barcelona (Universitat de Barcelona), Proyecto Hombre Catalonia (Projecte Home Catalunya) and EWODOR (European Working Group on Drugs Oriented Research) organize this symposium under the title: Drug Dependence: Treatment generalities and specificities.
EWODOR is a network of addiction researchers founded in 1983 to provide a forum within which researchers in the field of drug/alcohol treatment, prevention and policy could share research experience and expertise; compare procedures, methods and results.
Studying through the different experiences on drug dependence institutions in Europe, in this 13th initiative we invite you to focus on what can be considered generic and what is specific in addiction treatments and long term recovery. We will discuss from very diverse and wide perspectives as epistemological, cultural, historical, social, legal and educational.

All sessions will be given both in English or Spanish with translating system.
