Dear Research Groups,
Have your say! Help us choose the location for the RGS-IBG Annual
International Conference 2012.
Due to the London Olympics (25 July – 11 September 2012) it is not
feasible to host AC2012 in London. Several other locations around the
UK are also fully booked with Olympic-related and other events taking
place. A shortlist of 5 locations and dates for the AC2012 conference
has been drawn up using the following initial criteria:
* availability of suitable dates
* estimated costs for rooms, AV, and catering (the largest portion
of conference costs)
* availability of student or budget accommodation nearby accommodation
* proximity to major transport hubs
* feedback from Research Groups on preferred cities/dates
/Please note: the shortlist is based on current availability and prices
at these venues, which may change. RHED reserves the right to select a
venue not listed on the shortlist if necessary./
Research Groups and their members are invited to vote here:

Please forward this link to your Research Group mailing lists and other
geographers. It will also be distributed to previous conference
participants later this week in the first AC2011 communication
(apologies for cross-posting!)

Voting closes: *Friday 29 October 2010*.

Stephanie
