Apologies for the intrusion...particularly if you are a member of Economic Geography Discussion Group as the message below has already been sent this list.
If the financial crisis is of interest to you and you are looking for resources to give to students then the audiovisual and audio podcasts, plus PDFs, to be found by following the web link below, may be of use. The introductory page provides the background to the pods so I will not elaborate here, save to say that the pods are in main with leading figures from a range of NGOs and related organisations (from War on Want, CornerHouse, TUC, to the Tax Justice Network) talking to the theme of how a 'politics of alternative finance' might gain traction. The audio pods provide longer interviews with the people involved; the audiovisuals provide shorter summaries of the key points each NGO wishes to make.
