Hi Everyone
I subscribe to the Community Psychology Distrubution List and have
recently taken over as Chair of the Psychology of Women Section (POWS).
I agree whole heartedly regarding the disproportionate impact the
recent spending review will have on women. The closure of the Women's
National Commission while calling for the promotion of gender equality
is a worrying development. I am more than happy to take the suggestion
of a joint press statement to our Committee if this is something that
is generally accepted by the CP organising committee. Please do get
back to me.
I have also contacted Wendy, who began this conversation, to say that
I am certain any information, events regarding action will be of
interest to the POWS membership and I can circulate anything that I
or POWS receive to the CP list.
Best wishes
Christine
