Hi All,
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to fill in postdoctoral
positions to study structures and functions of proteins and protein
complexes involved in assembly and genome packaging of complex DNA
viruses such as human herpesviruses and bacteriophages by means of X-ray
crystallography and electron cryo-microscopy in the laboratory of Dr.
Liang Tang at the Department of Molecular Biosciences, University of
Kansas (http://www.molecularbiosciences.ku.edu/faculty/tang.html). The
positions are funded by NIH. The laboratory has easy access to a Rigaku
RU-H3RHB X-ray generator with an R-axis IV++ imaging plate system and a
200kV FEI transmission electron microscope equipped with field emission
gun both located on campus, and has regular access to synchrotron
radiation beamlines. Successful candidates must ideally have a recent
Ph.D. in biochemistry or a related field with a strong background in
protein crystallography. For more information and to apply, go to:
https://jobs.ku.edu and search with the job number 00067319. Review of
applications will begin shortly and will continue until the positions
are filled. University of Kansas is an EO/AA Employer.
