Dear Karen, I looked on the National Register of Archives and found an entry for Carrington Viyella Ltd. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/nra/searches/subjectView.asp?ID=B2998&tabType=ARCHIVE - collections are held by Lancashire Record Office.
I also found some detail on the current Morada website, linking the two companies directly: http://www.morada.co.uk/Heritage.aspx
I hope that this is useful.
Best wishes, Fleur

Subject: Searching for any B. Cohen & Co archives
Hello All
I’m trying to trace the location of any surviving archives of B. Cohen & Co. The company started in Whitechapel in 1876 selling tailor’s trimmings and suit linings, and later moved into producing and dyeing synthetic linings for clothes under the Morada brand. It was taken over by Carrington and Dewhurst in the 1960s.
I know the Morada brand still exists, but wonder whether archives still exist from the original company B. Cohen & Co. Has anyone come across any?
Thank you for your help.
