The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £31,778 - £34,466 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
Initially, the applicant will work on a project which will involve analysis of data for a study on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The study will examine prevalence and patterns of antibiotic use in COPD and this work will inform further research on treatment of COPD. The project is part of a 5-year research programme on COPD funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR). The applicant will be part of a large multidisciplinary team working alongside epidemiologists, statisticians and clinicians from the Centre for Respiratory Research and department of Primary Care and Population Health. This post is based at UCL's Royal Free campus in north London.
The work involves analysis of data from a large primary care database The Health Improvement Network (THIN).
The post is available for a period of 18 months in the first instance from January 1st 2011.
