Dear colleagues
I'm looking for the source of the quotation that forms the title of
the sequence of three texts by Elie Wiesel that appeared in German in
1962 (complete with a foreword by Martin Walser):
Elie Wiesel, 'Die Nacht zu begraben, Elischa' (Munich: Bechtle, 1962),
tr. Curt Meyer-Clason
This is clearly a quotation, possibly Biblical, but I haven't been
able to locate it.
All assistance gratefully received!
best wishes
Peter
