Senior Research Evaluation Manager
Salary range: £33,000 to £35,000
Full time - 35 hours a week

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide medical research charity dedicated to helping babies and children. We've been supporting medical breakthroughs for almost 60 years.
This is an unusual challenge for an articulate and enthusiastic scientist/medic with a good Honours Degree in Biological/Biomedical Science and experience of working in areas such as research, medicine, medical/scientific communication or research administration. Working to the Director of Research, you will be responsible for writing reports on previous and current projects funded by the charity, helping to administer the research programme as well as promoting and explaining our research work and successes both internally (to staff and supporters) and externally (to media and the general public).
You should have a strong interest in the medical sciences and knowledge of a broad range of scientific/medical research areas with the ability and flair to explain complex research in simple language to non-scientists. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are vital. A second degree involving scientific research or knowledge of database management is an advantage.
Please visit our website at www.action.org.uk/recruitment<http://www.action.org.uk/recruitment> for further details.
Applications by CV with a covering statement (email or hard copy) should be sent to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or Denise Norris, HR Executive, Action Medical Research, Vincent House, North Parade, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 2DP.
Closing date for applications is Wednesday 3 November 2010 by 5pm.
First interviews are planned for Monday 22 November, second interviews on Tuesday 30 November.
