Poor old Miles, black cat, all heart
but cheated of feature by dissembling Nature,
no opposable thumbs to work the valves,
just squawked like a bugler, or tried,
nasty to hear at reveille,
sounded like Gunga Din
without thank God stuck with
Sam Jaffe's makeup.
