Several Postdoctoral Positions are available at the University of California, Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), Stephen R. Leone laboratory
Applications are sought for postdoctoral scholars in each of two fields: (1) heterogeneous chemistry and reactive product branching kinetics related to combustion science using synchrotron radiation (position at LBNL) and (2) the application of high harmonic extreme ultraviolet femtosecond pulses to the study of molecular dynamics of small molecules and nanoparticles (position at the university campus). The femtosecond project will also involve laser, optical, and hardware modifications.
Please see recent publications in the two subject areas (1) Numbers 439, 443, 453, 456 and (2) Numbers 362, 392, 414, 419 at the Leone group web site: http://www.cchem.berkeley.edu/leonegrp/publications.html
Qualified candidates will hold an advanced degree in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field and will have a strong experimental and instrumental background. The positions are available immediately or can be in the future, normally appointed for one year and renewable annually, depending on performance, for up to two additional years.
Interested parties should contact Stephen R. Leone, UC Berkeley ([log in to unmask]) provide a CV, summary of graduate grades, and have three letters of reference sent.
