Here is what the log says:

TypeError: len() of unsized object
The file /opt/glite/etc/gip/top-urls.conf doesn't exist which is why the
cron job is run. The /var/cache/glite/glite-info-update-endpoints does
exists.
I also has some problem with user ldap not esixting when installing the
updates. Then also when i tried to run yaim, it said again:
"No passwd entry for user ldap"
I have added the ldap entry, and then reinstalled the update packages.
This time without any complaints about user ldap not existing. The
scriplet still complains though.
Going to try to run yaim now...
