Training teachers requires a two pronged approach. Firstly, general knowledge of Black British history needs to be obtained by prospective teachers. I would be willing to provide my name for such a list. The second stage would be for more specific training in the application of this historical knowledge for primary and secondary teachers separately, as well as by subject for secondary teachers. As an English teacher in my prior life, I know this can be implemented across subjects and Key Stages. Other (former) teachers successfully implementing Black history in non-history subjects could also advise and/or contribute to such specific teacher training.
