Applications are invited for a researcher to work on the transport aspects of the project on the Health Impacts of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway, funded by the National Institute for Health Research, investigating the travel and physical activity impacts of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway (http://www.phr.nihr.ac.uk/funded_projects/09_3001_06.asp). The postholder will work at University College London in collaboration with researchers at the MRC Epidemiological Unit in Cambridge and the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia. The post at UCL will focus on the analysis of the changes in travel behaviour resulting from the new busway using statistical and modelling techniques.
The post is funded for 2 years in the first instance and is available immediately.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience in using statistical packages such as SPSS to analyse large data sets and in the development of computer models, and a doctorate or masters degree in a relevant subject. A background in transport would be an advantage.
