Dear All
Time for another Deployment Team & Sites meeting today at 11am. The
provisional agenda is here http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=108792
. Hopefully we can wrap up on the security updates (just reviewing
lessons learned) and have a good discussion on what to do, and
experiment priorities when, a Tier-2 disk server fails.
In terms of reminders we have a few. ATLAS squid monitoring is not
working at about 5 sites. All sites are once again encouraged to cross-
check their gstat figures (especially as we are about to end a quarter
and your resources logged in a quarterly report) at http://gstat-prod.cern.ch/gstat/summary/GRID/GRIDPP/
(some Northgrid sites no longer appear in this GridPP list... have
you defected?). We need to briefly revisit the conclusion about block
size as the recommendation seems to be for DPM sites to put use --
block-size=1000 as the default is 1024 (see emails to this list last
week).
The August Tier-2 availability figures have been revised after
investigation of the effect of the Nagios failure that month and we
would like all sites to check the new figures and report any
discrepancies that remain. In particular please could all the 99%
sites comment on whether they had any other test failures around the
Nagios outage of 7th-9th August. The revised report is here: http://gvdev.cern.ch/GRIDVIEW/downloads/Reports/201008/wlcg/lcg_tier2_aug2010.pdf
.
For minutes: Jens -> Mingchao -> Graeme -> Jeremy -> Sam -> Wahid ...
but other volunteers welcome!
thanks,
Jeremy
