Hi all
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who has disposed of .pst files (email personal folders) without the aid of email archiving software?
We have decided to adopt a policy where the creation of .pst files/personal folders will no longer be permitted. In future all of our email records will be required to be saved from Outlook into the appropriate file plan area according to their content and managed in a consistent manner to all other corresponding records.
However, we have the problem of the existing personal folders - it's feasable to require users to sort out their emails to a certain extent, but we will be left with the problem of when to dispose of remaining personal folders (of leavers and users who haven't saved email records into the file plan). Has anyone tackled this issue or does any one have any suggestions?
Any advice will be gratefully received.
Many thanks
