I think John Gribbin and his son (as a teenager?) reviewed an early Edinburgh International Science Festival in New Scientist, which was a nice idea.
You do sometimes see reviews of science festival events in practitioner / professional journals, but these are often written by the scientists / science communicators putting them on.
I think it would be good to encourage more independent reviews of science festival events / science exhibitions etc.

Surely the issue is that a theatre, book or restaurant critic is criticising a product which the public consumes. Where as science communicator is already one step away from the science, which is itself a few steps away from a consumer product.
Wouldn't a science communication critic essentially be a critic of critics which all gets a bit meta for mass appeal.
