This is an interesting and challenging opportunity for a motivated graduate with a Social Science or Health Care background. You will have experience of research in Health Services and/or End of Life Care using quantitative and qualitative methods and a publication record in these areas: a PhD is desirable but not essential. The level of appointment to this post will depend on qualifications and experience.
Working with Dr Stephen Barclay (Macmillan Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and Honorary Consultant in Palliative Medicine), you will join the End of Life Care research group, funded by the NIHR CLAHRC (Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care) for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
You will develop and lead a study of hospital admissions and Out of Hours care close to the End of Life, involving negotiating access with clinicians and interviewing people close to the End of Life, and their families.
