At the CIG conference in Exeter earlier this month, there was a presentation on the results of the RDA in the UK survey. The presentation itself is available online here:

One of the questions in the survey asked whether institutions created name, title or subject authority records. The proportion answering yes was quite high. A question from the audience asked if any information was known about whether institutions were creating series authority records, but that information was not collected in the survey. I'd be interested to get some general idea of how many institutions are creating series authority records.
Here at Cambridge University Library, we do create series authority records for all current cataloguing and contribute them to the LC/NACO Authority File. We do not create local authority records as we are in a position, as a NACO library, to allow other institutions to benefit from our authority work.
