Good morning!
I wondered if the list members could advise me please. I am currently
looking at policies and procedures and I am keen to know how other
Colleges manage inter-site loans of stock
I work in an FE College that has multiple sites - our two biggest are
Tiverton and Barnstaple but we also have other 'satellite' sites dotted
around North and Mid Devon. Currently we have no fixed method of moving
stock between sites - it is very ad hoc and definitely needs looking at.
For example, I have a centre in Holsworthy which is 30 miles from
Barnstaple and 56 from Tiverton! I am thinking of having small
collections of resources based at these sites but with no-one to manage
the stock on site this might be difficult.
However, one solution may be to supply termly resource boxes that are
physically loaned on the LMS to the Centres (and a named individual) but
we still have the issue of the odd text being requested.
Any advice would be welcome - happy to summarise for the list if this is
beneficial.
Thanks in anticipation!
