Apologies for posting to this list but I'm wondering whether any other Institutions are using either Endnote X3 or Endnote X4 and have got the full-text facility to work? We have only just upgraded to X3 and I understand that the 2 latest versions of Endnote allow you to search from Endnote to find your Institutions full-text ejournals and automatically fill in the reference information and automatically attach PDFs to references.
For this to work properly with our open URL resolver (SFX) I am presuming that we need to fill in the preferences, of which I see, there are options for "open URL path" and "authenticate with". Also within the URLs and links preference, there is an option for "arguments"
This is where we have drawn a bit of a blank, not knowing quite what we should be putting in these options to get it to work. At present we can draw on some of our full-text ejournals, but not all. I think currently it is just drawing the information from Web of Science or PubMed but not from any of our other subscribed resources.
Is anyone else using SFX and shibboleth and have got this to work? Does anyone use a mixture of authentication, e.g. shibboleth and ezproxy? Would this effect what we could do?
Apologies if these questions sound dumb but we don't quite know where to start with this. Any advice would be very gratefully received.
