β’ Why you should encourage your customers to play games in the library.
β’ How you can start, staff and evaluate gaming events and clubs on any (or no!) budget.
β’ How to use all sorts of games with boys and girls from 9-99 (and older and younger too!)
Across the Board will be a fun interactive day with presentations and practical workshops as well as an opportunity to sample a broad range of games and talk to the adults and young people who play them.
The course is FREE but please book early as places are strictly limited.

A FREE course about gaming in libraries and schools

Course Aims and Objectives:
* How gaming fits into your offer for young people, families and adults.
* How to start, staff and evaluate games clubs and activities on any (or no!)
budget.
* Gain a broad understanding of what is happening nationally and
internationally.
* Become confident talking to library users, colleagues and management about
the benefits of games in libraries and schools.
Course Outline:
Presentations and practical workshops with the opportunity to ask questions and
play some games.
Target Audience:
Library and school staff who would like to investigate using games in their existing
sessions or start new ones.
Because this is a FREE course lunch will not be provided. There are
opportunities to buy food and drink both within the library and nearby.
