Apologies for cross-posting.
Here at the Museum of London we have undertaken a major 'weed' of
duplicate, out-of-scope and out-of-date material. Some of these items
date back to London Museum days (1911-1975) but may still have some
historic value, e.g. for museum studies. Others have been acquired by
various means such as via picture rights, but are outside our areas of
interest, e.g. 'Music and Victorian philanthropy: the tonic Sol-fa
movement' (CUP 2009).
The museum's disposal policy is, in the first instance, to offer to
other institutions. If you would like to see the list of over 2,000
items, please email Corey Schultz, Project Assistant, at
[log in to unmask], He has broadly categorised the list as
follows: Archaeology, Architecture, Art History, Arts & Crafts, Auction
Catalogues, Autobiography & Biography, Bibliographies, Building &
Construction, Business, Catalogues, Ceramics, Clothing & Costume,
Computer Science, Conservation, Cookery, Corporate History, Design,
Dictionaries, Directories, Dolls & Toys, Education, Exhibition
